If anyone is interested in having a look at the process we´re doing, I´ve uploaded my VMWare image to http://people.ipfire.org/~maniacikarus/IPFire3/.

I´ve added samba, squid and suricata with a running config. There is a green0 bridge running with 192.168.255.11 and looking for 192.168.255.1 DNS and gateway.

Being on the road over the Christmas break i had to use mobile broadband and some low bandwidth internet connections. Using a proxy and good internet connection at home i was frustrated by all the advertisement and blinking pop-ups i faced these days. I´ve added a commit for the latest suricata release and you´ll soon be able to give it a try if you´re running a IPFire 3.x early build. Feel free to download the latest emerging rules or use oinkmaster instead.
